These are the arguments defending the institution of slavery, made pre-Civil War. It's past time we look at the reasoning written within them and realize something very profound about our society:

This is a film that nearly won the film shorts contest this month here in Tucson at the Loft Cinema. I think it should have won, but it sort of hit second. To me, this is brilliantly expressed. LOVE IT!!!

This came really close to winning a short film contest last night here in Tucson, and it definitely had my vote. I was very happy to find it online and be able to share it here.

To raise money for the legal fund of the Jena 6, I've designed a t-shirt... each shirt will raise $5 that I'll then send to the defense fund. I doubt I'll raise much, but if it helps any, it's worth the effort... so tell people.

For the past couple of months (I think) I've been hard at work on a film. Now, as some of you may know, I'd been making fun short films, such as The Value of a Human Life, which I'd posted here before. But it occurred to me to jump on board and do something HUGE.

A full-length movie... one that tells the entire store. Not just of how I'd learned all I did about religion, but how I came to be an Ishmael fan and come to understand the world as I do. I'd like to share that film with you all...

The invitation to speak today is quite an honor, and I appreciate the opportunity. It’s also quite a challenge, because I know so little about what you do. As I understand personal health, from my medical doctor, I should eat less and exercise more. I assume public health means everybody should eat less and exercise more. That’s about all I know about public health, and I assume it’s not quite the whole story.
