I am in the middle of reading My Ishmael and The part where Ish is talking about the young man who walked into the lake when he was 31 hit home huge for me, I had to close the book and stop reading and dry my eyes and think. I am finding this book to be more personal for me, and I am not sure why..... but it does make me think, I happened to have a moment to write some thoughts in the middle of sweeping the floor today:

Welcome to Ten Thousand Ways!

Ten Thousand Ways seeks to organize gatherings where tribal-minded people from up and down the Pacific Coast come together to share ideas, make plans, and network. Many of us have read the books of Daniel Quinn (Ishmael, Story of B, My Ishmael), studied deep ecology and animism or feel a strong tie to the land around us. However, coming to our event requires none of this; just arrive with an open mind!

I just wanted to start this thread so we'd have a place to chat back and forth about the details  of this year's 10KW. Yesterday, I reserved the same campsite we used last time, so we have an official time and an official place. If'n ya wanna, you can check out all the particulars at tenthousandways.org.

Well, ladies and gents, the Ten Thousand Ways website is up and cranking with info for the 2007 gathering.

You'll notice on the page itself (tenthousandways.org) that while we've got the area pegged down, we haven't chosen a specific location. Last time, at 10KW'06, we had about 15 people, with room for about three times that number, or four times that number if we really packed people in.

Hi, when is the 10k ways gathering this summer? I need exact dates because we're moving across the state, doing a roadtrip down to L.A., and planning on attending 10k ways all in the same month.
